An essay component to a project completed by the students. Students will compare and contrast animal and plant cells. Students also need to demonstrate knowledge of cell organelles by explaining which are only found in plant cells or animal cells.

Both teachers have students mixed up by levels. Mr. Salazar will sometimes group students with similar abilities with one another. Ms. Cabrera will group students based on mixed abilities. Ms. Cabrera also groups her engineering students based on the project they are focused on. Robotic groups will sit in one area while students focused on rockets will sit in a different location.
